Hank's love

Hank Simpson, a young, good looking man who is a published author with one best-selling novel "A Married Couple", sits by his computer thinking and thinking. He is suffering from major writers block. "A Married Couple" is Hank's story of him and his x-wife. It explored the view of a universal issue "Divorcement" Writters block is not being able to write something because of focusing in something else. Getting distracted by everything around him, especially the hot ladies Hank sleeps with every night. He has a 13 year old daughter, Samantha and a smoking hot x-wife who sees girls panties lying around his apartment. Hank still deeply loves his x-wife Sharon while she is engaged with a man named Jerry. While Hank works on his career, still suffering form writers block, Jerry moves into Sharon house. Hank drinks his troubles away until finally thinks of an idea that becomes another published novel. Because Hank still tries to impress Sharon, he cleans up his act which means Hank is going to stop Drinking large amounts of Alcohol and Snorting Cocaine. Charlie "Hank's agent" gets Simpson a job with L.A's top magazine company "Helia magazines" which Jerry, Sharon's fiance owns. Because Hank still loves Sharon, this makes him hate Jerry with all of his heart. Charlie works on getting an interview with the largest talk show in the world to promote Hank's best-selling novel and to make sure that people keep buying Hank's new published book.
After many weeks, Hank gets an interview to see if he would be right for the show. Charlie, Hank and the interviewer met at the famous restaurant "Cafe Belle" . He drank a little to much and went over board insulting her and ended up not getting on the show. As a last option, Hank decided to take the job with "Helia magazine" Charlie was furious with Hank because that could have been both his and Hank's big break. So, Charlie decides to take a break from Hank and go relax at home for the week. Charlie's assistant "Lori" is married to a wealthy man named Richard. During that week, Charlie was having an affair Lori as Linda "Charlie's wife" was having an affair with Richard. Secretly, Charlie brings Lori to his place and Linda brings Richard to her place. Both couples here noises coming from different rooms, both Charlie and Lori and Linda and Richard walk and look through every room together until both couples are facing each other. They really didnt care that much when they saw each other. They ended up divorcing their original husband or wife and married the people they were having an affair with. When Hank agreed to work with "Helia Magazine" Jerry had to go on a business trip to get the legal documents stating "Hank is able to work with my magazine company."
So, Sharon was all alone. Hank thought this was the perfect opportunity to win Sharon back. Simpson drives over to Sharon's house and holds her into his arms rocking her back and forth until she looked him straight into his eyes, Sharon and Hank have a moment for over ten seconds until Hank goes 90% in for the kiss and Sharon goes in for the other 10%. He knew that this was going really well for him; he takes her hand and leads her to the bedroom. They undress each other slowly and romantically. They hop into bed and 10 minutes later magic happens. Unexpectedly, Jerry comes home quietly to surprise Sharon in bed, he sees a big lump under the covers thinking it was only Sharon rolled up into a ball. Jerry pulls back the covers on his side of the bed and tucks himself in and notices a hairy leg riding up the side of his body. Jerry quickly jumps out of bed, throws the covers off and sees Hank and Sharon naked face to face. Jerry was FURIOUS! He grabs his wedding ring, pushes Hank and Sharon off the bed to wake them up and he throws the wedding ring in the toilet and flushes. He walked out on Sharon!
2 months after Jerry walked out on Sharon, Hank and Sharon have been dating. A week after, Hank purposed to Sharon and without hesitation Sharon screamed YES! 1 month after they were engaged they had there wedding and everything went perfect after Jerry and Sharon split. After Hank and Sharon's wedding many things happened For Example, They had another child named Jamie and they moved into there former household. Everything was well when it came to the Simpson's. On the other hand, Jerry is home by himself every night with out anything to do. As you can see everything went well for Hank and Sharon but Jerry made the awful decision to walk out on Sharon because now his life is ruined with out her.

My Poem

Starting off our summer fun
Great great time with friends in the sun
leaving home is such a riot
No one here to keep me queit
White Pine standing bold and strong
Wishing it could last for long

Clerihew

I love sushi
My favourite actor is John Belushi
I go to Sterling Hall
And after school I walk to Yorkdale mall

Haiku

Quickly to deep sleep
Relaxed by rushing water
The sounds, the feel, calmed

Lime Rick

There once was a man named Dave
Who found an old crown in a cave
He said "she's disgusting"
But she only needs dusting
And think of the money I'll save

Dogsledding Poem

Wind,
Blowing a frigid, deathly chill against my face;
The majestic beasts,
Swiftly sprinting,
Lone mavericks forming a single unit
The scent of fresh unpolluted air filling my lung,
Adrenaline,
Runs through my body;
Brute force,
Determined dogs dragging dense sled
Astonished;
The snow dancing in the wind gracefully,
Surrounding me like a fortress of ice blocking me from all of my worries in the city;
The exhilaration,
What more is there?

Mr. David Budden

Head of Admissions

Crescent School

2365 Bayview, Avenue

Dear Mr. Budden,

Hello Mr. Budden my name is Jake Mandel. I am currently an eighth grader at The Sterling Hall School. I arrived at Sterling Hall when I was ten years old, for grade four. My leadership position is Arts Captain for Visual Arts. When I toured Crescent, I observed the amazing Arts program and the wonderful facilities available. We met briefly at the high school exhibition at Sterling Hall. I know I will be having my interview soon and I look forward to meeting you again.

I am well suited for Crescent School because I can be a great role model for my peers and the younger kids at Crescent. As well, I would contribute and encourage other students to get involved in Community Service such as The North York Harvest Food Bank and The Terry Fox Foundation. Firstly, I would be a fantastic role model for my peers and the younger students because I can relate easily to kids of different ages and I am very patient and understanding. Whether it is sports or academics, I will always be there to lend a helping hand. I constantly work with younger kids, and help them with their studies and make sure they are always learning to the best of their potential. I always encourage younger kids to keep focused and attentive during class.

 Community Service is very important to me. I feel that it is one of the most important endeavors a student can undertake. When I was on the tour, I could really see how Crescent really tries to help all communities. I remember Crescent has some terrific Outreach Programs. Tanzania, where we can help build a school, was my favourite. I have been personally trying to help as much as I can. My family and I have booked a day where we can travel around Toronto and feed the homeless. Experiences like these give me the foundation to help spread the word for how good it feels to “GIVE.” I plan to bring these ideals to Crescent School.

What I truly enjoy about Crescent is how all the teachers and faculty are always available for the students. It seems that teachers will go out of their way to help you with anything from academics, student life, or athletics. Speaking about athletics, I was delighted to see that Crescent School has both squash and tennis courts. I participate in both of these sports on our school teams at Sterling Hall. As you know, I am the Arts Captain at my school. I take a lot of interest in computer arts. When my brother comes home with a computer arts assignment, I always watch him do his homework as it really fascinates me. This is another aspect of Crescent School I plan to involve myself.

In conclusion, I really hope I will have the privilege of being admitted to Crescent. Crescent is my number one choice and it would mean a lot to me and to my family if I could attend your school, along with my brother Zachary, who presently attends Crescent. I hope that I will be able to spend the next four years of my life at Crescent.

Thank you,
